Spring bouquet

Spring where are you?.....I know it's early yet but I can't wait to hear the birds sing and see the first small shoots of green push up through the frosty frozen earth.

We still have a few more months to go. That's why I like to keep fresh tulips in my house at this time of year.This painting reminds me that spring is a great time of the year, a time of hope and new growth.

'Into the Blue"

I find myself longing for the days when you can just throw on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and run out the door into the sunshine. We have a 32 ft. sailboat that we go on adventures in, in the summer time. I try so hard not to take the summer for granted, it always goes by so fast when you are happy and enjoying every moment.

However, if it was'nt for hardship and cold weather we probably would'nt appreciate our fleeting canadian summers as much as we do.

Sunflowers are like flower children, wild and untamed.This painting has a very bohemian feel to it,...it reminds me of being at a cool hip party in the 60's and everyone is dancing and singing and waving thier arms around. They are all just happy and having fun.

January 2011

Wow, it's hard to get used to saying 2011 . I always find September and January are the months that we vow to do better.... I don't know about you, but I like to set goals at thse times, it keeps me hopeful and optimistic and it gives me something to strive for. So here's to new beginnings in a brand new year!
